"Loved the Best Western"
We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western and would recommend it to any visitor to Edinburgh. The hotel has a fresh, friendly and relaxing feel to it and it is run in a very professional manner. The bedroom was spacious, clean with a fresh feel to it. The breakfast room is relaxing, the staff effeicient and courteous - the food is plenitful and of good quality. |

"Great hotel very good staff"
An excellent hotel which is 10 minutes walk from most points of interest. We were travelling with my 14 year old so were given a large room which had a seperate room for my daughter. Hotel was well decorated and everything very clean.Very good value at ?90 per night per room including full Scottish breakfast. The breakfast were excellent and set us up for the day, you must try the black pudding which is sweet and very tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful The manager Gerry was often around and was very friendly. the hotel has a small bar but no draught beers so try one of the many bars in the Grassmarket. Parking is difficult, as it is in the whole of Edingburgh so would not advise taking car, public transport is excellent so save the hastle and walk or go by bus. Whilst in Edinburgh I would recommend a night tour with City of The Dead, excellent and only slightly scary fun about the dark side of Edingburgh's historyand a chance to see Grayfriers grave yard in the dark! |

"Very happy with Best Western"
recently stayed at the Best Western Edinburgh City Centre for three nights. I had a very good deal on my room (?60 per night bb) through searching the web. Housed in an old building centred around a cobblestone courtyard, the hotel was modern inside, warmly decorated throughout, and spotless. My room was very comfortable and the power shower in my bathroom was very welcome! All credit to the staff - they were excellent: courteous, professional and very welcoming. Breakfasts were great too.The hotel is a few minutes' walk from Prince's Street. One minor drawback might be the single glazing on the window if you face the main road - not a busy road at night by any means but you might occasionally be reminded of its presence. It would not stop me visiting again or recommending it to anyone else. |

"Wonderful experience!"
My boyfriend and I stayed there two nights last week and both of us think we'll stay there again if we go to Edinburgh in the future. The room is well furnished and spacious. We still can't forget the scotish breakfast there! |

"A little shaky, but nice all the same"
Very central, clean, comfortable and comes with nice staff.
I recommend this hotel. It's got lots of character and is clean and comfortable. Staff were nice, if a little "scatty" as if they weren't very experienced, but what they lacked in experience they made up for in enthusiasm. Food in the hotel restauraunt was nice enough. |
